In the 14th century (the 1300's), a horrible disease struck Asia, Africa, and Europe. The people called this illness the Black Death. The disease started in Asia in the 1340's. It quickly spread to Africa, and throughout Europe. In just two years, 25 million people died of the plague. In ten years, the plague had killed over 1/3 of Europe's population. People were sick everywhere. Whole families and villages were wiped out. This caused many problems with the kings workers. S many of them were dieing they started to rebel against the king. They didn'tneed him anymore so they rebelld and demanded higher pay. People thought they were doing somthing to upset god so they started changing their religion and other such stuff. In about three to seven days, lymphnodes became sore, tender, and are termed buboes and the patient may also develop fever, chills, and weakness. In those days, there was no cure for the Plauge. People had to live through it as long as they could, and die a painful death. The Plauge was used as a weapon. People would throw dead bodies of plauge victims over walls with a catapult, trying to give it to those on the other side.
